Dr. John Jucas Endorses Marcus Richmond

El Dorado – Today, the former Chairman of the Union County Republicans has endorsed Marcus Richmond, congressional candidate for the 4th District.
“I am proud to support Lt. Col. Marcus Richmond to be the next Congressman for the 4th Congressional District. He is a retired veteran, businessman, husband, father and grandfather. He has the real life experience in creating and sustaining jobs, as well as honorable service to our country. I believe his experience is exactly what we need in Washington, D.C., a proven job creator who will fight for the people of El Dorado, Union County and the 4th district.”
Dr. John Jucas is a board certified dermatologist in El Dorado, Arkansas where he has practiced for 27 years. He is the owner of Dermatology Surgical and Laser Clinic and is an active staff member of the Medical Center of South Arkansas. He has served as Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Arkansas Area Health Education Center (AHEC) of El Dorado and as past President for the Arkansas Dermatology Society. Dr. Jucas has participated in numerous clinical trials and studies throughout his career.
Dr. Jucas was born in Germany to Lithuanian refugee parents and his family eventually settled in Arkansas. He attended the University of Arkansas, School of Medicine and received his medical and dermatology training in the U.S. Army at Tripler Army Medical Center, Brooke Army Medical Center, and Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He served in the military for eight years at various positions including General Medical Officer in Fort Riley, Kansas and Chief of Dermatology at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
He has been involved in his community for many years and has served in numerous capacities. Dr. Jucas is an active member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in El Dorado where he sings in the choir and is also a member of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. He is a former member of the Delta Development Commission and previously served as Chairman of the Union County Republican Committee, President of the South Arkansas Symphony and South Arkansas Arts Center, and appointed by President George W. Bush as the Commissioner for the National Committee on Foreign Medical Education Accreditation at the US Department of Education.
