Bring Arkansas Values To D.C.

President Obama is in full campaign mode flying from swing state to swing state on taxpayer dollars telling anyone willing to listen that he is pursuing an energy plan that will reduce our dependence on Middle Eastern oil, and that he has a job plan that will provide jobs. However, actions speak louder than words and the recent actions of the President indicate that he is more interested in pleasing his liberal base and saving his own job than creating jobs for Americans.

President Obama’s recent rejection of the Keystone XL Pipeline has caused 60 Arkansas workers to lose their jobs and has endangered 600 Arkansas jobs at the Little Rock-based Welspun Tubular manufacturing company. Unfortunately, President Obama appears willing to sacrifice 20,000 American jobs to save his job.

What about his energy policy? President Obama says he wants energy independence, but does obstructing the Keystone Pipeline project reduce our dependence on unfriendly overseas sources of oil? Of course not. This administration’s only energy policy is to drive up the price of fuel and electricity so high that Americans will accept his crony capitalism and political payback to failed companies such as Solyndra. Every regulation, every legislative proposal has had an adverse affect on real Americans who depend on their vehicles to travel to work, and who depend on their tractors to produce America’s food.

Our nation and our state cannot afford four more years of President Obama, and we cannot afford two more years of politics as usual in Congress. It is time to elect someone who will take Arkansas values to Washington, instead of bringing DC values to Arkansas. We do not need any more politicians selected by their cronies who believe it is more important to send their person instead of sending the right person to Washington.

So if you want someone who has the political courage, the real world experience and the fortitude to stand up for Arkansans, then work with me and let’s win in May and November.
