A letter from the candidate
I have decided to set aside my private life and run for Congress because I believe Arkansas and America are at a tipping point. We can continue to send the same type of political insider to Washington DC and hope for different results or we can send someone who is a proven leader that has thirty-four years of experience leading Marines, managing businesses and solving problems. I have that experience.
It is time to send someone to Washington who understands the sacrifices Arkansans are making to pay their mortgages, educate their children and provide a decent living for their families. I am that someone because just like you, I have been here in the trenches slugging it out to provide a future for my family and the families of those who work for me.
I am running for Congress because we cannot place the future of our children and grandchildren in the hands of politicians who have never created a job, made a payroll or balanced a budget. Political rhetoric will never be a substitute for real world experience. Cheerleading and wishful thinking will not create jobs. Experience and a willingness to make the hard choices is what we need today and that is what I will take to Washington DC for you.
